Welcome to PortTix, the box office for Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine, and home to Portland Ovations and the Portland Symphony Orchestra. More information about those organizations and their upcoming performances is available on their websites.

Upcoming Website Maintenance

On January 18th our website will be down for a software upgrade required by new standards set by the Payment Card Industry. The  Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements developed by the major credit card companies to enhance credit and debit card data security.  The new standards in part require enhanced encryption of credit card data.  Read more about our software company and these standards at Blackbaud and PCI Compliance.

Once the upgrade is complete, everyone with an existing account will be prompted at their first log in to create a new password  You will be asked to choose a password that includes a mix of Upper and lower case letters and a number. Once you change this password, you will not have to make any other changes unless you choose to.

Buying Online

To buy online, first log in.  If you do not yet have an account, please create one.  (Please note - in order to have access to your complete ticket buying history, it is important not to create more than one account).  Then you can either choose "View All Events" to the left, search by event title at the top right, click on one of the shows on the home page or seach by calendar date.

Once you've found the show you want, click "Add to Basket" and the website will walk you though the rest of the steps.  To see the view of the stage from different sections click on "View From Seat" on the right side of the home page.

When you choose your tickets, check the top of the page in the address bar for a lock symbol.  This lets you know that PortTIX.com has an SSL certificate and that your information is encrypted and cannot be accessed when you make your purchase online.

Tickets may be purchased online up to 2 hours before each event.  Tickets may be purchased over the phone or in person up to curtain for most performances.

NOTE:  For Mac users, you may have problems with a browser other than the latest version of Firefox.

Policies

All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. In the event of a show cancellation, ticket prices will be refunded, but handling fees are non-refundable. Please read

Discounts

Currently, only adult price tickets are available for sale online. For discounted tickets, including senior and student discounts, please call the box office at 207.842.0800. Please note that not all shows have discounted tickets available.

Hours

Box office hours for phone and window sales are Monday through Saturday, 12 to 6 pm.
